2014 Rules & Regulations

Track Rules

  • Fighting is strictly prohibited.
  • No excessive speed in pit areas.
  • No alcohol.
  • No weapons.
  • Complete fire suits are mandatory. Violation of this rule will result in disqualification.
  • All cars are subject to random inspections.
  • Violation of class rules ("cheating") will results in forfeit of all winnings for that event.
  • Car owners are responsible for driver and pit crews.
  • Cars are to be ready to race and in line prior to their event.
  • Any team member on the racing surface during a race (yellow and red flags included) will result in disqualification.
  • A car leaving the racing surface twice during a race will not be allowed to return to the race.
  • A car towed during a race will not be allowed to return to the race.
  • Three grace laps will be given for a flat tire, driver will restart at the rear of the field.
  • All car numbers must be bold and visible (non-reflective)
  • After two "jumps" of a start or restart, that car will be put to the rear of the field.
  • A "jump" of the start from the rear of the field will result in disqualification.
  • We will use a start cone, running over or to the inside of the cone will result in being sent to the rear of the field.

Late Model Rules

  • UMP/Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series body rules apply.
  • Weight:
    • Aluminum Block Engines = 2300 lbs.
    • Steel Block Engines = 2200 lbs.
    • NO BURN OFF
  • Tires:
    • Hoosier: LM40, D55, and 1600
    • American Racer: MD56
    • Tires listed above only apply to the rear, open tires will be permitted on the front.
  • Eight (8) inch spoiler. MAXIMUM
  • All weights must be bolted on.
  • All drive shafts and added weights must be painted white.
  • Car number must be a minimum of 24 inches tall and must be on the roof and passenger side of car for scoring purposes.
  • NO Radios, Mirrors, Transmitting or Traction Control devices will be permitted.

Open Wheel Modified Rules

  • UMP Body Rules Apply
  • Weight:
    • Floating Rear-End = 2350lbs.
    • Quick Change Rear-End = 2400 lbs.
  • Tires:
    • Hoosier: D, A or H
    • American Racer: Med, Hard, and Extra Hard
    • Tires listed above apply on ALL four corners.
  • Five (5) inch spoiler Maximum
  • No Front-end Fins allowed
  • No Aluminum Engines, Aluminum Heads are allowed
  • Gas or Alcohol Allowed
  • All weights must be bolted on All drive-shafts and added weights must be painted white
  • Race Car Number must be a minimum of 24 inches tall and must be on the roof and passenger side of race-car for scoring purposes
  • NO Radios, Mirrors, Transmitting or Traction Control devices allowed

Super Dirt Stock Rules

  • Clip car or full-frame only
  • 3,000 lbs. Minimum weight for Stock
  • 2,800 lbs. Minimum weight for full-frame car
  • ANY Modified Tire (Hoosier/American Racer) or D.O.T. Radials allowed
  • Steel Head motors only
  • No coil-overs allowed
  • Only one shock over rear-end allowed Leaf spring or stock appearing coils are allowed
  • No Bird Cages allowed
  • No Fast Boy set-up’s allowed
  • Aluminum or Steel bodies are allowed
  • Eight (8) inch. Spoiler Maximum allowed
  • BERT Transmissions are allowed
  • No pan-hard, lift or Reese bars allowed
  • Only one shock allowed per wheel
  • The number one (#1) Spark Plug can be a maximum of four (4) inches from the left front upper ball joint
  • Front weight jacks only
  • Gasoline or Alcohol allowed
  • All weights must be bolted on
  • All drive-shafts and added weights must be painted white
  • Race Car Number must be a minimum of 24 inches tall and must be on the roof and passenger side of race-car for scoring purposes
  • NO Radios, Mirrors, Transmitting or Traction Control devices allowed

Road Hog Rules

  • General Rules
    • A domestic complete bodied car.
    • Rear wheel drive only.
    • Stock frames, uni-body cars allowed front to back.
    • Wheel base 108-inch minimum. (Camaros & Firebirds okay with 108” wheelbase)
    • No station wagons, convertibles, Mustangs, or Capris.
  • Appearance
    • Cars must be neat in appearance and paint bright color.
    • Numbering must be 18” high (any letters must be 9” high) with contrasting color.  Numbers must be on both sides and on the roof.  No mirrored numbers.
    • Cars must have TOW HOOKS front and rear.  Hooks must be visible and    able to support weight of vehicle.
    • Body must be recognizable as a production vehicle. After market bumper covers may be used. 
  • Exterior Body
    • Must have original appearing body, OEM, Steel, or Aluminum sheet metal bodies are okay. (Must remain as close to stock appearing as possible) (NO LATE MODEL APPEARING BODIES)
    • 8” Rear deck spoiler allowed.  No spoiler on quarter panels.
    • All doors must be welded shut.
    • All glass and chrome removed.  No cutting of body parts to change from stock appearance, EXCEPT for wheel clearance. 
    • Gutting of trunk and hood allowed.
    • Rear body must be closed down a minimum of 12”.  (NO Open Back-End)
    • Bumpers must be welded to prevent loss.  No sharp edges allowed.  If ends are cut off they must be capped. Minimum of 4 vertical bars in windshield with 1” maximum mesh screen covering entire windshield.
    • Fenders and hoods must have as close to stock appearance as possible.
    • Can use stock bumper and header or after market front nose. (Nose piece must be stock appearing)
      (Late model wedge-style nose pieces are NOT permitted)
    • All body panels can be OEM, steel, or aluminum; No plastic or fiberglass roofs, doors, quarters, fenders or deck lids.
  • Interior Body
    • Interior of car must be completely sealed from engine compartment.
    • Must have a rear firewall.
    • No uncovered batteries, fluid reservoirs or tanks in driver’s compartment.
    • No mirrors, two way communications or electronic devices of any kind.
    • All bars near driver must be padded. 
  • Frames
    • Frames must match manufacturer of body.
    • No after market tubing frame except behind the rear end hump.  This means that only the flat part around the fuel cell, after the hump that is over the rear end.
  • Roll Cage
    • 6 point full roll cage that may exceed past front of firewall.
    • Must be welded 360 degrees.
    • 4 kicker bars on driver’s side door, 2 bars on passenger side door.  .095 steel.  6 kicker bars allowed.
    • Padding on roll cage within 30 inches of driver’s head.
  • Safety
    • Racing seat required. 
    • 5-part nylon quick-release harness and safety belt required.  Must be in excellent working condition at all times.  Harnesses must be attached to frame.
    • Approved fire suit and gloves are mandatory.  Fireproof; hood, socks, shoes and underwear recommended.
    • Full-face helmet is required with a lexan shield.  Must be at least snell 85 approved.
    • Driver side window net minimum of 12” X 12” with ¾ webbing is mandatory, MUST be mounted to roll cage.
    • An operational fire extinguisher properly mounted within the driver’s reach is mandatory.
    • Drive shaft loop required.  Drive shafts must be painted white, MUST be factory stock.  No aluminum drive shafts.
    • Dash mounted engine kill switch.
    • Battery must be securely fastened and contained away from fuel cell.
    • Fuel cell must be secure and firmly mounted in the trunk area.  Fuel line must run under floor and/or covered in1 ½ inch tubing.
    • Must be approved fuel cell—32-gallon maximum.
  • Carburetor
    • One 2 or 4 Barrel carburetor. 
    • Carburetor must have stock appearance.
    • Gas only. No alcohol. 
    • Any type intake is okay.
  • Engine
    • Engine must be original equipment for the manufacturer of the car.
    • #1 or first spark plug must be in C/L with upper ball joint.  (MAXIUMUM SET BACK)
    • Cast iron blocks and heads – no cubic inch limit.
    • Fuel pump must be stock mechanical only.
    • NO ELECTRIC FUEL PUMPS.
    • No Magnetos allowed. MSD is allowed.
    • Headers permitted.
    • Mufflers are required.
    • Exhaust pipes must exit out past body behind driver’s seat.
    • Car must have working starter and start under own power.
    • Roller Camshaft and Rocker Arms are allowed.
  • Transmission
    • Must have working forward and reverse gears.
    • Standard or automatic transmissions, mini clutches and direct drives are okay.  Standard flywheels must have scatter shield or blanket. 
    • Bert and Brinn Transmission is allowed.
  • Suspension
    • Front and rear suspension as stock as possible, may be braced for safety.
    • Weight jacks allowed.
    • Racing shocks allowed—1 per wheel. (1 per corner)
    • No coil-overs allowed.
    • May have quick release adapter on steering wheel.
    • Upper and lower control arm must be non-adjustable. Tubular is okay, but must be non-adjustable.
    • Passenger car type rear ends only, may mismatch manufacturers.
    • May run floater rear ends. (Quick-change rear-ends are NOT allowed)
    • No Dampner Shock Allowed on Rear-end.
    • No J Bars or Pull Bars allowed. 
    • Heims and swedge tubes permissible in place of factory trailing arms for coil-cars.
    • Coil spring cars will use factory design (ex – Metric cars will have 2 uppers and 2 lower trailing arms)
    • Stacked leaf spring rear suspension is okay.
    • Fast-boy Setup in NOT allowed (If car has Fast-boy Setup, it will be allowed to race ONLY if the
      Bird-cage is Pinned or Welded so that it CANNOT MOVE) (These cars will be checked after each Event to ensure Pin/Weld did not break, if pin/weld breaks the car will be disqualified from that Event)
  • Brakes
    • Required on at least 3 wheels, must be sufficient to stop car.
  • Tires/Wheels
    • Steel racing or wagon wheels only.
    • 8” wheel width maximum.
    • 1” lug nuts on all wheels.
    • Bead-locks permitted on any/all corners of car.
    • Street tire 2.55 x 60 x 15 maximum.  (60 minimum) (No Recap Tires Allowed)
    • Open-Wheel Modified Tires allowed: Hoosier: A & H only and American Racer Hard or Extra Hard  only.
    • Tire and wheel must not extend past stock body panel.
    • Size must be legible on outer side of tire. 
    • Grooving and Siping tires is okay.
  • Weight
    • Must weigh 3000 lbs. Minimum with driver at all times.

Front Wheel Drive

  • BODY: Completely stock from front to rear
    • Must remain stock with floor-pan and firewalls in stock location
    • Race seat or original seat
    • Original seat must be all the way against the roll cage
    • Racing belts Four (4) or Five (5) point
    • If door is hulled it must have three (3) bars beside driver
    • All glass, chrome, plastic, ect. must be removed
    • Must have a 1 1/8” minimum roll cage
    • No excessive hulling will be permitted
    • Only hood and drivers doors are allowed No Exceptions
  • ENGINES: Must be factory stock, pure stock and NO Modifications allowed
    • Four (4) Cylinder with no Modifications
    • No Turbos allowed
    • If you have a double cam you must add Fifty (50) lbs. in front of the flywheel
  • FUEL: Pump Gasoline Only
  • WHEELS: Stock Wheels
    • No aftermarket or racing wheels allowed
    • Steel or Aluminum are allowed as long as they are stock
  • MISCELLANEOUS: All weights must be bolted on
    • All drive-shafts and added weights must be painted white
    • Race Car Number must be a minimum of 24 inches tall and must be on the roof and passenger side of race-car for scoring purposes
    • NO Radios, Mirrors, Transmitting or Traction Control devices allowed
